TOURISM

To promote traditional tourism, the P&C Italian Style ETS association is developing a promotional plan to enhance local coastal food and wine tourism. This plan leverages recreational boating as a distinct segment of tourism. The goal is to support and promote this still underdeveloped sector in the Adriatic regions of central Italy.

The promotion plan will be implemented in collaboration with "Assonautica" and the "GAL Abruzzo" and will see a close link between the "Italy seen from the Sea" project, a tourism promotion project coordinated by the Italian Regions/Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces, in collaboration with ENIT, which is part of the even broader tourism promotion project "Italian Journey – Discover the Italy you didn't know" of the 2020 National Promotion Plan, and the promotion of food and wine products from the coastal and inland areas of Abruzzo, promoted by the P&C Italian Style association and the GAL Marsica.

It aims to enhance and promote nautical and nature tourism in the Abruzzo region, offering daily nautical routes and itineraries between Giulianova and Vasto, or multi-day land-sea itineraries, to discover the immense historical, cultural, artistic, naturalistic, and food and wine heritage of the coastal hinterland and inland waters.

The rich heritage of know-how, culinary traditions, craftsmanship, fashion, and the unparalleled lifestyle and Made in Italy will be presented through tasteful, sensorial, visual, and tactile experiences aboard an elegant cruise ship. Departing from the Marina di Pescara, the cruise will head north, near the crystalline waters of the Torre del Cerrano and Borsacchio nature reserves, before reaching the nearby town of Giulianova. There, guests can enjoy a delicious Giulianova-style fish soup accompanied by a fragrant wine from the Vini Colline Teramane consortium. Alternatively, they can embark on a wonderful journey toward southern Abruzzo, skirting the incomparable Trabocchi coast with the D'Annunzio promontory, the Rocca di San Giovanni, and the Murge beach. The itinerary concludes in the magnificent crystalline waters of the Punta Aderci Regional Reserve, where they can sample the typical Vasto-style fish soup, accompanied by a delicate sparkling wine from the collective brand "Trabocco."

Afterwards, tourists will be taken to one of the most historic and characteristic areas of the Abruzzo region, Marsica, where they can continue the tour by visiting Alba Fucens, the imposing and countless castles of Celano, Ortucchio, Trasacco, Capistrello, Avezzano, Balsorano, Carsoli, and refresh themselves near the clear waters of the Giuvenco where they can taste the delicious typical local products such as pasta made with Solina wheat, Fucino potatoes and carrots, ajo cotturo sheep's cheese and the characteristic traditional desserts of L'Aquila.
